With all of the new productions coming out, Marvel is very busy. Black Panther, starting its filming in Atlanta is a great example. For the companies TV shows, The Defenders, Punisher, and Agents Of Shield, their productions are already currently happening, while now the two shows Runaways, and Cloak & Dagger are set to begin their own filming in February. But the one production that is bigger than all of these is now about to begin its own production process.
Avengers: Infinity War is set to begin filming February 28, in locations all throughout Scotland, according to recent news from The Daily Record. The film will be the largest ever done in the country, with the films price expected to reach £10 million, or about 12 million dollars.
World War Z gained £3.33 million for Scotland’s economy in just 17 days on location in Glasgow in the summer of 2011. Avengers:Infinity War is expected to surpass that total by a lot more.
There are many locations for the film to begin its filming, both rural and urban, and in all will take over 6 months. Lewis Macdonald, Scottish Labour culture spokesman, is hoping that the studio will make the local films’ talent as utilized as possible.
Infinity War will consist of so many characters, and so many different locations beyond the known universe, so Scotland’s support will leave a great impact on the production providing all of these different rural and urban locations for Marvel’s film.
Even though Disney has been keeping everything top secret, executives have been scouting locations across Glasgow, Edinburgh and the Highlands for the film.
With the final prodution premiering May of 2018, we are just going to have to see where all of our heroes will journey to.
