Keegan-Michael Key Joins Shane Black’s ‘The Predator’

The Predator continues to build momentum as it adds another star to the ensemble cast in the form of Keegan-Michael Key. The Key and Peele creator and lead is the most recent actor to join Black’s upcoming film, alongside Boyd Holbrook and Olivia Munn, which is readying for filming next month. This news comes hot on the heels of yesterday’s announcement that Moonlight star Trevante Rhodes has been cast in the film as well.

Key wrapped his Comedy Central sketch series in late 2015 and had his biggest year at the box office yet in 2016 starring in Keanu, Don’t Think Twice, and Why Him?. Now Key has found his next, and arguably biggest role yet, in Shane Black’s hotly anticipated sequel for the Predator franchise. Black has commented that his film will be an “inventive sequel” as opposed to a reboot.
