On Wednesday, the internet went wild over a report indicating that Ryan Reynolds might be reprising his role as Deadpool in next year’s Logan, which will most likely be Hugh Jackman’s final run as The Wolverine. It didn’t take long for that rumor to be falsified, though, as Reynolds, Jackman and Logan director James Mangold quickly confirmed that Deadpool will not appear in the film.
However, The Hollywood Reporter’s Borys Kit is now suggesting that something involving both Wolverine and Deadpool might be on the way after all.
Re: Deadpool in LOGAN – my sources say def no way he's in the movie. BUT…don't rule out something ELSE involving Deadpool & Wolvie.

Now, if I had to bet, I’d assume that Ryan Reynolds has shot a promo video for Logan in character. This, to me, is most likely because Fox already used that method for 2015’s Fantastic Four and it would make sense considering the “bromance” between Reynolds and Jackman, as well as the love-hate relationship between Wolverine and Deadpool in the comics. Another possibility involves Cable, the time-travelling mutant who is set to be the main antagonist of Deadpool 2. Potentially, Cable could accidentally take himself and Deadpool into the near future where Logan takes place, allowing for a brief Hugh Jackman cameo in Deadpool 2.
