Mezco has been setting the bar pretty high for 6 inch scale action figures lately, two of the most noteworthy entries being the armored and non-armored versions of the BvS Batman. Some have compared these to scaled-down versions of Hot Toys; whether you agree with that or not, Mezco is gaining more and more momentum and shows no signs of stopping. There newest addition is to be a Deathstroke figure.
Personally, I’ve thought the DC Collectibles Arkham Origins Deathstroke to be the best figure for the character on the market, but just based on the images for Mezcos take on Slade this will take the cake. The pictures show the figure coming with an interchangeable unmasked head, a pistol, a sword, and an assault rifle. While there is no image for the accessories, it is pretty safe to assume we’ll be getting at least a few interchangeable hands as well. The accessories aside, the sculpt is phenomenal. It captures the comic accuracy of Deathstroke with great paint detail, as well as having damage in the armor sculpted in for the extra aesthetic (which is always to be desired). Not only this, but Mezco does an amazing job of combining the fabric and armor aspects of the suits for their figures; it looks like this figure jumped right out of the pages. As good as Slade looks, we’ll have to wait and see how the articulation is but based on previous figures we can assume it will be decent enough. In addition to the impeccable appearance of the figure, it will hopefully make this an amazing piece to add to your collection. Deathstroke is up for pre-order for $75 and is expected for the third quarter of 2017.
