‘Star Wars: Rebels’ May Bring New Perspective To ‘Rogue One’ Scarif Battle

With recent confirmation that Forest Whitaker will be voicing Saw Gerrera in Star Wars: Rebels, it seems that the animated series is gearing up to be intertwined with Rogue One even further. Executive producer of Rebels, Dave Filoni, spoke with EW about putting the battle of Scarif in the show from a different perspective.

“I already have some theories about the story behind it…I can imagine doing that entire [Scarif] battle from their point of view, whoever is on the Ghost at that point.”

The Ghost is a battle ship, first appearing in the Rebelseries and it can be seen when the rebel ships jump from hyperspace to aid in the fight outside Scarif. Bringing more connections between the animated corner of Star Wars and the live action films is something that fans greatly appreciate so seeing this connection, especially to the major battle of the latest Star Wars film, is sure to sit well. Be sure to stay tuned for updates on all things Star Wars!

What do you guys think? Are you excited to see the Scarif battle in a new light on Rebels? Would you rather it be left alone in live-action format? Let us know in the comments as well as on our Twitter and Instagram!
