Rogue One Beats ‘BvS’ and ‘Civil War’ In Previews

Rogue One: A Star Wars Story has now hit theatres and not only will it likely cross the $150 million mark for it’s opening weekend results, but according to THR, it has officially beaten two of the year’s biggest superhero blockbusters.

Rogue One earned $29 million from it’s thursday night previews making it the top preview tally of 2016! Marvel’s Captain America: Civil War earned $25 million whereas DC’s Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice earned $27.7 million.

This is a great result for Rogue One. The critical reviews and audience reception of the movie should help it cross $150 million opening weekend. As for how much it will make worldwide in the box office, who knows but it won’t make as much as The Force Awakens (over $2bn).

What do you think of Rogue One’s preview results? Are you surprised it has surpassed Captain America: Civil War and Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice?
