‘Star Wars: Episode VIII’ Trailer To Be Revealed Spring 2017

Now that Rogue One has officially hit theatres, the next chapter in the ‘Star Wars’ story will be the currently untitled Episode VIII which wrapped production earlier in the year. The film is still a whole year away but fans are wondering when we will see the first trailer?

Five months after Episode VIII we will also be getting a ‘Han Solo’ movie starring Alden Erenreich as the titular character and Donald Glover as Lando Calrissian. Given that this film will be releasing in May, we assumed that production will be starting in the spring of 2017. Well, Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy has all the answers.

Check out Kennedy’s interview with the BBC below…

Lucasfilm doesn’t need to release any trailers for Episode VIII just yet as the film is literally a year away. Everyone know’s that Episode VIII is coming and spring is a great time to reveal the first trailer. Hopefully we will get to hear some dialogue from Luke in the marketing leading up to the film. As for the production of the ‘Han Solo’ solo starting production this spring, it sure seems to fit the schedule.

It was interesting to hear that LucasFilm didn’t include an opening crawl in Rogue One because the opening crawl was synonymous with the original trilogy, but Han Solo is synonymous with the original trilogy and yet they are doing a full spin-off movie with him.

The currently untitled Star Wars: Episode VIII hits theatres on December 15th 2017 ad you can catch the ‘Han Solo’ film on theatres on May 25th 2018!
