Yesterday it was announced that David Ayer was re-teaming up with Harley Quinn actress Margot Robbie to direct Gotham City Sirens – an all female-led team up film that will feature Batman characters Harley Quinn, Catwoman, and Poison Ivy in lead roles. Naturally, with the announcement of a new movie comes “reports” and speculation regarding who Warner Bros. could be eying for the roles of Catwoman and Poison Ivy.
Today, a rumor has begun floating around that Megan Fox, mostly known for her role in Transformers and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, is currently circling the role of Pamela Isley a.k.a Poison Ivy.
The rumor, which stems from Bleeding Cool, states that Fox has been a comic book fan for years and that she’s been interested in the role of Ivy for a while. They also say that the actress has ordered Harley Quinn issues #14, #17, and #38 which are said to be the first appearances of the relationship between Quinn and Ivy. Not only that, but the actress reportedly ordered these books and had them sent to her address on WB’s property.
Could Megan Fox be studying up on Ivy’s relationship with Harley to get ready for Gotham City Sirens?
It’s unclear how Bleeding Cool supposedly got this information, but if it’s legit, Fox may be closer to landing the role than anyone thought.
