[SPOILER WARNING FOR THE WALKING DEAD MID-SEASON FINALE]
AMC has released the trailer for the return of The Walking Dead Season 7 in 2017. The mid-season finale aired last night and the mid-season premiere will air on February 12th next year. Check out the trailer below…
After seeing Rick broken and scared to fight back for so long, it’s exciting to see the beginning of the revolution against Negan. As a quick recap, in last night’s episode we saw Negan kill Spencer (Austin Nichols) who was trying to persuade Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) to kill Rick so that Spencer could take over as leader of ‘Alexandria’. Negan’s second victim Olivia (Anne Mahoney) was the result of Rosita (Christian Serratos) attempt to kill Negan and in doing so, accidentally shooting Negan’s baseball bat ‘Lucille’.
The episode ended with some of the main cast, including Rick, Carl and Michonne arriving at The Hilltop where they were reunited with Maggie, Sasha as well as Daryl and Jesus who managed to escape Negan’s compound. The final shot showcased the team walking toward the main house at the Hilltop ready to discuss with Gregory, the leader of The Hilltop, about the possibility of the two settlements rising up against Negan – a story that will most likely be left until the final episode of the season.
Another cliff-hanger moment that we witnessed in the episode was the presence of a mysterious figure with barbed wire wrapped around his boots. They may introduce this character in the second half of season 7 or they may leave it until the final episode of the season as a reason to tune in to season 8.
