Next year, comic book fans will get to see the ‘Justice League’ added to the DC Cinematic Universe, but we won’t just get one version of the team. The ‘Justice League’ will also be assembling in February in The LEGO Batman Movie for which a new TV spot has just been released and we get a quick glimpse at the LEGO versions of the main DC heroes. Check out the new TV spot below!
The new TV spot puts the spotlight on The Joker (voiced by Zach Galifianakis) more than any previous trailers have. From the marketing so far it seems as though they have managed to capture the same essence of comedy and action that we saw in The LEGO Movie. It’s interesting to see the contrast between the lighter tone of the LEGO movies compared to the much darker tone of the movies in the DC Cinematic Universe.
The synopsis for The LEGO Batman Movie is described as follows…
In the irreverent spirit of fun that made The LEGO® Movie a worldwide phenomenon, the self-described leading man of that ensemble—LEGO Batman—stars in his own big-screen adventure. But there are big changes brewing in Gotham, and if he wants to save the city from The Joker’s hostile takeover, Batman may have to drop the lone vigilante thing, try to work with others and maybe, just maybe, learn to lighten up.
The LEGO Batman Movie hits theatres on February 10th 2017!
