Logan already has fans in a whirlwind; the trailer has shown us a piece of the X-Men franchise, and the superhero film industry as a whole for that matter, that is nothing like what we are used to. We’ve gotten a look at this dystopian western set in the future, following Hugh Jackman as he takes out the claws for the last time. He’s certainly gearing up to go out with a bang though, seeing as the project is going to follow in the footsteps of this year’s Deadpool and take an R-rating. Eric Vespe of Ain’t It Cool has recently reported on something that helped the studio go through with this decision:
Mangold said that Hugh Jackman took a salary cut because he wanted to do an R-rated movie.

The fact that Hugh Jackman is willing to take that cut in order to see the film carried out in this way, really shows he is committed to this character and giving the fans exactly what they want out of his last go around as Wolverine. Logan hits theaters March 3rd of next year.
