Mark Hamill Says Solo ‘Star Wars’ Film Have An Advantage

It seems like everybody is excited for Star Wars right now, especially with Rogue One: A Star Wars Story hitting theaters in less than a week. Even Luke Skywalker himself, Mark Hamill, is excited to watch the first Star Wars movie that has nothing to do with the main sagas. He hasn’t seen the movie yet, but he praised the trailers saying the movie looks fantastic.

He said these films have a chance to do something that hasn’t been seen in this franchise so far.

“They have a real advantage being able to go in and do a one-off story because you don’t have to follow the trilogy model of a three-act play.” Hamill said. “They can really get it done, get off, and leave the audience wanting more. They have a chance to make it there own identity. This one looks like a really gritty World War II film. They have a chance to really branch out and stake out the territory for themselves, so I’m looking forward to it.”

On the future solo Star Wars film like the Han Solo one, he said that the movie could be on the more comedic and fun side. In terms of Alden Ehrenreich who’s playing Solo, he said good luck to him, and hopes he does well as Solo.
