TJ Miller Discusses His Character In ‘Deadpool 2’

Not to be confused with Tim Miller, the recently departed director that stemmed from creative differences with leading star Ryan Reynolds, TJ Miller has some fun ideas for his character in the upcoming sequel. He plays Weasel, a bartender who happens to be one of Wade Wilson’s best friends and serves as comic relief during the already comedic movie. He accepted Wade even after his unsightly looks that came as a side effect for his powers after his experimentation, supervised by rival Ajax.

While the future of the sequel looks to be in limbo, TJ Miller has assured audiences the fun factor of the movie still stands and looks to be even more wacky than the first. Things might’ve taken a turn for the worse when Tim Miller and composer Junkie XL departed the movie in one week but new director David Leitch (John Wick) seems to have no problem keeping the cast harmoniously in tune. TJ even had a request for the new actor for the sequel:

“I have been talking with Ryan Reynolds and the writers, and they’re really excited about [Deadpool 2]. I think, for me, I just want Weasel to wield a gun, at one point. But there’s more fun stuff coming.”

TJ Miller could either be teasing a future character arc or he just really wants to a wield a gun during the sequel. Fans of the comic will be quick to realize Weasel becomes the House in the comics. Could this be the beginning of the transformation? Fans will just have to wait and see in the next wacky installment from Fox Studios. Do you like Weasel’s character?
