Earlier today, on Marvel Entertainment’s YouTube channel, they posted a trailer announcing the return of Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3.
Initially released in November of 2011 on the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PlayStation Vita, the fighting game is an updated version of Marvel vs. Capcom 3: Fate of Two Worlds, the game features characters from the Marvel comic books, like Captain America, Spider-Man, and Deadpool, alongside some of Capcom’s most beloved characters, such as Ryu, Akuma, and Viewtiful Joe. With the update, they added 12 new playable fighters, six from both Marvel and Capcom, to change the original 36 character roster to 48.
In the trailer, they show that the game is available to play in 1080P at 60 FPS. The release will also include all DLC content.
The hype is truly real, but there is a catch. If you’re an owner of a PlayStation 4, then you’re in luck because it’s available to download today. And no, your eyes didn’t just play tricks on you and insert “it’s available to download today,” in place of some later date. Unfortunately for the Xbox One and PC players, they will have to wait for a later date to play the re-release, and according to the trailer and the caption under the video, that later date will be sometime in March of 2017.
