‘The Flash’ Executive Producer On H.R. Training Wally

Wally West’s wish was finally granted, in the main Flash timeline. At the end of episode six, ‘Shade,’ Alchemy bestowed superspeed upon him as Team Flash fought both Alchemy and Savitar. After spending some time in a strange cocoon, Wally emerges with new superpowers.

Most of the team is concerned for Wally’s safety, forcing Kid Flash to turn to Earth-19 newcomer H.R. as a trainer. EP Andrew Kreisberg was asked about the training H.R. would be giving Wally, and why this doppelganger is the right man for the job:

“What I love about this version of Wells, and he’s said it himself before, but we actually show it rather than just tell it, he is a genius in his own way. He has the capacity to see other people’s talent and how to mine it and how to grow it. He sees that in Wally. Like he says in an upcoming episode, there’s nothing in it for him to help Wally, but he sees that Wally is special and that’s where he can shine, in helping other people discover their own value and helping other people develop their own gifts.”

Kreisberg must know about a secret side of H.R. because so far, he’s simply come off as a flamboyant con artist. Only time can tell how well H.R. will train Wally. Are you looking forward to H.R. training Wally? Make sure to let us know below in the comments, as well as on our Twitter and Instagram!
