‘Marvel Vs. Capcom: Infinite’ To Be Released In Late 2017

Huge news coming from the Marvel Entertainment YouTube channel, Capcom, and PlayStation Experience: Marvel Vs. Capcom: Infinite.

The new entry to the Marvel vs. Capcom series is set to release in 2017 and will feature 2v2 battles, breaking the usual 3v3 tradition set in previous releases. The debut trailer, which you can watch below, features a couple of characters from either side, Ryu and Mega Man X representing Capcom while Iron Man and newcomer Captain Marvel. Alongside these characters, Captain America is confirmed to return to the franchise. No gameplay footage has been released yet, but expect to see it first this weekend at the Capcom Cup tournament

On the PlayStation blog post about the announcement, they had this to say about the new features.

Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite will feature a variety of exciting and accessible single player modes and rich multi-player content for new players and longtime fans alike… In addition to single player Arcade, Training and Mission modes, a visually stunning and immersive cinematic Story Mode will put players at the center of both universes as they battle for supremacy against powerful forces and a new villain.

Also on the blog, they said this about where they are in the development of the game and date of the release

Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite is currently in development and will release across North America and Europe in Late 2017.

Last but not least, on ESPN on Sunday, December 4 during the Capcom Cup broadcast (yes, some esports tournaments are now on ESPN), there will be an extended trailer for Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite.
