John Williams To Begin Recording ‘Star Wars: Episode VIII’ Score This Month

John Williams has scored every Star Wars film to date, and will score next year’s Episode VIII. Despite this, he did not score the first branch off of the main trilogies, Rogue One. In an interview with Variety, Williams revealed that he is going to begin recording later on this month for Episode VIII and is expecting to continue through March or April of next year. Williams has been nominated 50 Academy Awards and is widely know for composing iconic music for iconic films, so there is no question that he will produce high quality work for the next Star Wars trilogy installment.

What do you guys think? Are you expecting something more from the score for the next film as opposed to that of The Force Awakens? How do you feel about Williams not scoring Rogue One? Let us know in the comments as well as on our Twitter and Instagram!
