‘Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2’ Promotions Will Give Very Little Away According To James Gunn

Fans have been long awaiting the release of the sequel to Guardians of the Galaxy and now it’s in the foreseeable future, we are antsy to see what will unfold. However, director James Gunn recently spoke with THR about fans dissecting trailers once they drop:

“With Guardians, people really go through every single little shot and try to figure out what the movie’s about. And there’s a lot of mysteries in Guardians 2.”

Obviously Gunn has us in mind and is at least attempting to keep us on our toes. To keep the film mysterious, Gunn stated that they won’t be revealing too much in the trailers and TV spots:

“We were talking about how much to give away — and we’re not going to give away very much… With Guardians, it’s such an emotional and physical journey, going to all these different places. It’s like, ‘God, do I really want to show this planet we go to in the middle of the movie? … Those are always hard choices to make.”

This should please a lot of fans however, because a major complaint of some comic book films is that the promos give away too much of the plot. Be sure to stay tuned for updates on Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, which hits theaters May 5th of next year.

What do you guys think? Are you still going to decipher the trailers and comprise theories for the film? Or are you going to sit back and wait to be surprised in the theater? Let us know in the comments as well as on our Twitter and Instagram!
