Billy Dee Willaims To Voice Two-Face In ‘LEGO Batman’

In Tim Burton’s Batman film released in 1989, Billy Dee Williams, most notably known for his role as Lando Calarisian in Star Wars, got a chance to play Gotham City’s D.A., Harvey Dent. In an early draft of Batman Returns, Harvey was to become scarred like he is in the comics, which would’ve set him up as the 3rd film’s main villain. Unfortunately, that plan never came to fruition, as Dent was never seen in Batman Returns, and Tommy Lee Jones took over the character in Batman Forever.

Thankfully, with the release of LEGO Batman next year, Billy Dee Williams will finally get a crack at Dent’s villainous persona, Two-Face almost 30 years later, as the film’s director made the announcement via a Tweet response.

In the irreverent spirit of fun that made “The LEGO Movie” a worldwide phenomenon, the self-described leading man of that ensemble – LEGO Batman – stars in his own big-screen adventure: “The LEGO Batman Movie.” But there are big changes brewing in Gotham, and if he wants to save the city from The Joker’s hostile takeover, Batman may have to drop the lone vigilante thing, try to work with others and maybe, just maybe, learn to lighten up.
LEGO Batman releases into theaters Feburary 10th, 2017.
