The Flash tonight will be the start of getting all characters from the four shows together to fight the alien invasion threat. Here is a behind the scenes look at the filming of these episodes.

In the video they interview several people from the cast of the four shows. The videos highlights the introductory scene at an airport where all the characters come together for the first time.

“Four shows crossing over, I don’t think that’s ever been done on television,” said David Ramsey.

Director Dermott Downs said they are shooting all four episodes at the same time, sharing all of the casts. Cast members like Victor Garber, Danielle Panabaker, Franz Drameh, Keiynan Lonsdale, and Carlos Valdes all expressed their enthusiasm over having everybody on set.

“On top of  filming this episode, every other show is filming their episode,” said Executive Producer Todd Helbing.

Valdes and Brandon Routh all talked about how after they were done filming their scenes for one show, they have to immediately go do scenes for another.

“Logistically it’s a nightmare to pull off, but they did it, and it’s pretty exciting,” said Panabaker.

Seeing Supergirl fly for the first time on set, was something Candice Patton was fangirling over. Helbing said it’s a dream come true that this is even happening.

“It’s crazy because when I was a kid I used to dream about this stuff,” said Helbing. “To sort of have all these dreams come true, and write this stuff, and get all these tremendous actors, and the sets, and the visual effects we get to do is just a dream come true.”

Supergirl airs on Monday, Flash on Tuesdays. Arrow Wednesdays, and Legends of Tomorrow concluding the event on Thursday. All of them air respectively at 8/7c on the CW.
