New Video Analyzes Which Of Jared Leto’s Joker Scenes Were Cut From ‘Suicide Squad’

Suicide Squad, the latest entry in the DCEU, released to mixed reviews among audiences, but still managed to earn $745 million dollars worldwide. One of the biggest issues many viewers had, however, was the odd editing style, which often left certain scenes feeling choppy and poorly cut. Just as with Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice, WB released an extended cut for Suicide Squad, which added 12 minutes of extra footage. Unfortunately, unlike the extended cut of Batman v. SupermanSuicide Squad’s extended cut generally failed at improving the film as a whole, and left out much of what many fans were clamoring for: more of Jared Leto’s Joker.

For months leading up to the release of the film, rumors circulated around the internet about the insane method acting which Jared Leto was utilizing to embody the Joker, and speculation ran rampant among forums concerning what this Joker would be like. However, upon the release of the film, Joker was only featured for approximately fifteen minutes, disappointing fans while Leto himself complained that WB had left most of his scenes on the cutting room floor. As stated before, the Extended Cut left those in search of more Joker disappointed, but this newly released video may have been able to discern exactly which Joker scenes were cut.
