‘The Walking Dead’ Wraps Season Seven; More Episode Synopses Released

AMC’s The Walking Dead has been off to a great start with its seventh season, introducing previously unseen power structures as well as more communities than ever before. Tonight’s episode will be all about the pregnant Maggie Greene, who fled to the Hilltop community to get medical treatment and some distance after her husband’s brutal death at the hands of Negan. Recently, AMC released the titles and synopses of episodes six, seven and eight, which you can check out below. Be mindful of potential spoilers, though!

Episode 7.06: Swear

Someone stumbles upon a brand new society, and this society is unlike anything seen before.

Episode 7.07: Sing Me A Song

A deeper look at the Sanctuary and the world of the Saviours; members of Alexandria look for supplies.

Episode 7.08 (mid-season finale): Hearts Still Beating

Negan’s unwelcome visit to Alexandria continues as other members scavenge for supplies; things quickly spin out of control.

These synopses are of course very generic and don’t give away too much, however, at least one title could hint at a well-known event from the comics: Sing Me A Song. At one point, Carl manages to get inside the Saviors’ Sanctuary and kill some of them with a machine gun but is soon stopped. Negan then forces him to sing a song for him, and since Carl has been rebellious against him before, this could definitely happen.

In a recent interview with Comicbook.comTWD showrunner Scott Gimple also revealed that season seven has officially wrapped production and provided a small teaser for how the season will end.

“7B’s vibe is very different from 7A’s vibe,” he said. “The ending of 7B is very different than the beginning of 7A.”

The vibe will change? Let’s see, we’re currently at the beginning of 7A and Rick has fully given up his power to Negan. He’s broken, defeated. This likely implies that by the end of season seven, our survivors will have raised up against the baseball bat-swinging leader of the Saviors – possibly with the help of other communities.

After the mid-season finale on December 9, the show will take its traditional winter break and a return date has yet to be confirmed.
