‘Justice League Dark’ Scheduled To Release in Early 2017

The new DC Animated Universe film, Justice League Dark, is scheduled to release on Jan. 24, 2017 on Digital HD, and on DVD and Blu-Ray Feb. 7.

After the trailer dropped yesterday, fans have become excited for the new film starring these dark and crazy characters. Along with the Justice League, the animated movie features John Constantine, Zatanna, Deadman, Etrigan the Demon, Felix Faust, Destiny, and Swamp Thing. These supernatural heroes are recruited to handle the supernatural threats the Justice League usually aren’t aware of.

What’s also exciting is Matt Ryan from the short-lived Constantine, returns to voice John Constantine. Fans have been wanting him to return as the character, and has only returned once since cancellation during Arrow’s fourth season.

Like the controversial Batman:Killing Joke, this animated movie will be rated R. A lot of these movies have been dark and violent, but it most likely pushed the PG-13 limit because of these dark characters. Hopefully it won’t be as polarizing.

The film is  directed by Jay Olivia, who’s also directed Justice League: War, Batman vs. Robin, and Batman: Bad Blood.
