Kevin Feige Says 2020 MCU Movie Titles Are “Spoilers”

So far Kevin Feige has announced the titles for all the Marvel movies until the end of Phase 4 which closes with the currently untitled Avengers 4 which hits theatres on May 3rd 2019. Until then Marvel has a number of solo movies and another ‘Avengers’ movie being released. Marvel has also announced that it will be releasing 3 movies in 2020 but no one at Marvel has given any indication regarding what these titles will be. The current schedule is as follows…

  • May 5, 2017: Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2
  • July 7, 2017: Spider-Man: Homecoming
  • November 3, 2017: Thor: Ragnarok
  • February 16, 2018: Black Panther
  • May 4, 2018: Avengers: Infinity War
  • July 6, 2018: Ant-Man and the Wasp
  • March 8, 2019: Captain Marvel
  • May 3, 2019: Avengers 4
  • May 1, 2020: Untitled Marvel Movie #1
  • July 10, 2020: Untitled Marvel Movie #2
  • November 6, 2020: Untitled Marvel Movie #3

Inhumans was another movie set for 2019 but that title has, since the Phase Three slate was announced, been shelved. Regarding those three mystery dates in 2020, we’ve known for a couple of years now that Marvel was moving to three movies a year but Kevin Feige has remained silent on what films they will be…

“Where we go after Avengers; what those 2020 films are, we’re pretty sure what those are going to be… but if I tell you that, we’re getting into spoilers.”

The obvious route here is to suspect that they will be titles such as Guardians of The Galaxy 3, Doctor Strange 2 or maybe even Captain America 4, however the only one that seems ‘spoilery’ out of those titles is ‘Cap 4’. Those titles are pure speculation. The directors of next two ‘Avengers’ movies Anthony and Joe Russo have previously said that there will be characters in Avengers 3 and 4 that we haven’t seen in the MCU yet so it’s likely that a couple, if not all, of these mystery 2020 titles could be solo movies for characters we haven’t seen in the MCU yet. Marvel has thousands of characters at their disposal so pick any one of those that we haven’t see in the MCU and one of those 2020 dates could be their solo movie.
