At the end of the summer, the Netflix Original hit series Stranger Things was renewed for a second season. Creators and directors Matt and Ross Duffer caused fans of the show major anxiety when they declared that they weren’t certain that fan-favorite Eleven would be returning. Ross Duffer had spoken about Eleven’s return:
“We don’t know about Eleven. We’ll leave that up in the air.”
Well, worry no longer, and keep your Eggos handy! Millie Bobby Brown’s Eleven has been confirmed to return for season 2. Eleven’s fate was left open at the end of the first season, and it seems as though she is alive. How many episodes Eleven will be in has not been confirmed, but it’s very likely that she’ll be a series regular, taking her relationship with Finn Wolfhard’s Mike Wheeler.
The plot of season 2 has not yet been revealed, but there are a few facts that have been revealed. It will take place in the fall of 1984, a year after the first season. The show also seems to be expanding with Matt Duffer teasing this year,
“I will say, the opening scene of the premiere does not take place in Hawkins.”
Stranger Things season 2 will be released on Netflix sometime in 2017. Comment or Tweet us your predictions on what the next season will hold!
