The third movie in the ‘Thor’ franchise, titled Thor:Ragnarok, has officially finished filming after 84 days of production. Director Taika Waitit took to the official Marvel Studio’s Facebook account to live stream from the set in Australia. The video showed fans piles of props and set pieces as well as stars Chris Hemsworth and Tessa Thompson who will be playing the hero Valkyrie in the film.
So far, we know that the movie will feature Chris Hemsworth as the god of thunder fighting along side Mark Ruffalo’s Hulk who will also be a main character in the movie. The live stream also gave fans their first look at Tessa Thompson’s make up for her part as Valkyrie which appeared to be white stripes down parts of her face. No doubt there will be more when we see the final product.
The film isn’t set to release until November next year so even though it’s totally possible that we’ll see a teaser over the next few months or at the beginning of next year, we probably won’t get a full trailer until around March/April. In one part of the live stream Taika showed off the hat of one of the crew members that supposedly had a symbol from the movie on it and said the following…
“This here is our exclusive ‘Ragnarok’ Emblem, it will be revealed what that thing actually is soon.”
Some rumours that have been going around the web include the possibility of Thor and Hulk having to participate in a gladiator-style arena battle lead by ‘The Grandmaster’ played by Jeff Goldblum. Karl Urban was announced to be playing ‘Skurge’ who will interact heavily with ‘Hela’, played by Cate Blanchett.
Thor: Ragnarok hits theatres on October 27th 2017 in the UK and November 3rd 2017 in the US!
