Talia al Ghul Will Not Appear In ‘The Batman’

After several rumors that Talia al Ghul would be appearing in the upcoming film ‘The Batman’ directed and staring Ben Affleck, it appears that she will not be involved at all. This is according to The Wrap, who claim to have an inside source confirming that neither Talia or her father Ra’s will be in the DCEU for a long time.

After Joe Manganiello was cast as Deathstroke for the film, fans thought that characters like Talia and her son Damian Wayne could also appear. Talia was previously played by Marion Cotillard in The Dark Knight Rises and her father Ra’s al Ghul was played by Liam Neeson in Batman Begins. Actress Teresa Palmer was rumored to be in the running for the role back during the times of The Dark Knight trilogy as well as for George Miller’s Justice League Mortals but that film never happened.

In the comics Talia is the daughter of Ra’s al Ghul and lover of Bruce Wayne. She is a trained assassin and along with Bruce had a son named Damian Wayne, who is the current Robin in DC┬áRebirth.
