Ben Affleck Is In Full On ‘Get It Right’ Mode With ‘Batman’ Script

After a few good bits of news about upcoming solo movie The Batman, Ben Affleck finally got on the record and talked about his upcoming movie. Affleck is not only the protagonist but is also directing the movie himself. Warner Bros. executives recently revealed that the movie was 18 months away from being finished but it was later clarified that the movie is about two years away from final release. Ben Affleck is already working on the script for the movie which is a good sign for fans of the DCEU. It’s rare to find someone that is directing and starring in any movie, let alone a comic book movie.

Affleck realizes the newly established DC cinematic universe hinges on the success of The Batman, considering he is one of the most important characters, if not the most important. Working on this movie is as important to him as ever and is determined to help it succeed. In an interview with IGN, Affleck stated how confident he is about making the movie work:

“Last night I spent (time) working on the script. I’m in full-on ‘trying to get it right mode’. It’s not the kind of movie that you can fail quietly at. You have to really be sure that I have something that I feel really confident about before we go forward.”

The Batman has no solid release date yet but in theory, it should be out by late 2018. Do you think Ben Affleck is the key to the DCEU’s success? Comment below!
