After it was announced that the team from the hit show DC’s Legends of Tomorrow would be joining forces with the Justice Society of America, fans wondered what threat a team that large had to face. They got their answer when it was confirmed that the Legion of Doom would be the main antagonists for this season! This version of the Legion of Doom composes of Damien Darhk, the Reverse-Flash, Captain Cold, and Malcolm Merlyn. All of these villains have appeared in multiple shows on the CW network, but now they are combining forces to take out the Legends.

Matt Letscher, who plays the Reverse-Flash, recently sat down with Access Hollywood and talked a bit about the show and the other characters he is working with. Here are his comments about Neal McDonough.

“It comes along slowly, they find each other, he seems to be the driving force behind it at this point. Over the course of the beginning of the season, they find each other in various points in time, literally, various points in the vast timeline. They start to work together as the Legion of Doom to cause trouble in the timeline.”

He also talked about why he chose to return to the role. Here is his response.

“When they [the producers] called me about the job, this was one of the first things they pitched, they said “we’re going to be doing this Legion of Doom and here’s who is going to be in it” and that’s really all I had to hear. That sounds like so much fun! In this second season, they really are leaning on the humor. They are really having a good time with these characters and it’s fun, it’s a lot of fun. Working with Neal, working with John [Barrowman, who plays Malcolm Merlyn], these are very high-quality actors, I’m lucky to be doing it.”

It sounds like the cast and crew are having a blast this season. Hopefully that will reflect on the rest of the season and beyond.
