Kevin Feige On The Road To ‘Infinity War’

Before we know it, Avengers: Infinity War will be upon us, and Kevin Feige has discussed a bit about how we are getting there. This may seem to be one of the most complex and involved project that Marvel has embarked on, but Feige says that they’ve already accomplished the hardest part:

“When Tony Stark and Stark Industries and the world of that first movie was the definition of the Cinematic Universe, the question was how do you bring a soldier from World War 2 into that in a way that makes sense, how do you bring a Norse god from a whole other planet into that in a way that makes sense, how do you introduce flying aircraft carriers into that? That was the challenge. Now — particularly after Avengers, after Guardians, after this movie — the sky’s the limit with where we go.”

Laying the ground work fort the MCU definitely had to have been successful in order for the studio to even have gotten where it is now, so it’s reassuring that Feige has the utmost faith in Infinity War now that this has will have been 10 years in the making when the third  Avengers movie comes along.

Another question that’s been on everyone’s mind is why have they chosen to rename the 4th Avengers film? But of course, things are tightly under wraps and Feige had little to say:

“There’s a reason we have publicly called the first one ‘Infinity War’ and the second one ‘Untitled,’ because the movies we were developing were not — certainly there’s a connection, there are with all our movies — but it’s not a first part and a second part. It’s a whole movie and a whole story, and then a whole movie and a whole story. That’s about all I can say,” Feige said. “It’s certainly inspired by everything that has come before and everything that is hinted at before.”

It will be interesting to see what they decide to name the film, and better yet to find out what exactly will be the plot, seeing as it’s completely different from Infinity War. Be sure to stay tuned for updates!
