A few months ago rumours started circulating that Lynda Carter was possibly going to Cameo in DC’s Wonder Woman. Carter is already involved with the Supergirl TV show and will be appearing as the president in the shows second season.
Now, to some fans disappointment, Carter, who played ‘Wonder Woman’ from 1975-1979, had revealed that she won’t be appearing in the movie starring Gal Gadot next year…
“I’ve spoken to [director] Patty Jenkins. She talked to me on the phone about the character, and we were trying to see if I could do something with the movie, but it didn’t work out,” she said. “The timing was off, and I was doing other things and couldn’t get over to where they were shooting.”
Given all that Lynda did for the character and female superheroes it would have been cool to see a small cameo in the film. Obviously there is the fact that she exists in the Television universe as a completely different character so that may have been a small contributing factor so Carter not appearing.
Lynda previously appeared on the TV show Smallville a number of years ago as Chloe Sullivan’s mother so it’s good to know that she is still involved with DC in some capacity.
Wonder Woman hits theatres on June 2nd 2017!
