‘The Walking Dead’: Jeffrey Dean Morgan Confirms Multiple Kills For Season Seven Premiere

Yes, people, this is happening. It’s not a drill. According to Jeffrey Dean Morgan himself, Negan will not limit himself to one kill in the highly anticipated The Walking Dead season seven premiere.

“Negan’s not just going to kill one person in [the premiere]. He’s not afraid of bashing in skulls.”

Immediately after fans were left hanging in the season six finale, showrunner Scott Gimple promised a season seven premiere that would do right by Dead fans; and judging by the gruesome footage released at NYCC, that promise was kept. In the comics, Glenn is the one Negan decides to kill while his friends and pregnant wife Maggie are helplessly watching, and the new footage re-opened the discussions about who will meet their demise on the show.

Morgan went on to talk about what portraying Negan is like, and the excitement the darkness of that character brings with to the table.

“As soon as the cameras are rolling and I get Lucille in my hand, it kind of just transforms me. This character, in particular, has been such a joy to play for me. Put the dark stuff aside and the horrible things that Negan does… As an actor, it’s just been so much fun. We’re kind of midway through filming season seven, so I feel like I’m pretty locked in.”

Now that there are two (or more) characters who will have their “last day on Earth”, who do you think Negan decides to kill? Maybe the NYCC footage gave you a new clue? Feel free to share everything on Twitter or Instagram!
