‘The Walking Dead’ Season 7 Premiere Title, Synopsis Revealed

In season one of The Walking Dead, courageous leader Rick Grimes thanked Dr. Edwin Jenner for letting them leave the soon-to-explode CDC facility so that the group could live on. Jenner replied:

“The day will come when you won’t be.”

Apparently, the season 7 premiere is that day. The episode is titled after Jenner’s quote, and it will show Negan and Lucille’s victim (or victims?), as well as some of the aftermath. Fans of the show got a small taste of the opening minutes with a sneak peak released at NYCC. The scene is a long one between Rick and Negan, featuring blood-soaked Lucille, as well as the bloody remains of Negan’s victim (or victims.)

A synopsis for the premiere was released. It’s kept short and sweet, which really isn’t surprising. The episode synopsis is as follows:

“Last season ended with Rick and our group kneeling helplessly before Negan and his group. What Negan does will haunt those who survive forever.”

“The Day Will Come When You Won’t Be” opens season 7 of The Walking Dead on Sunday, October 23 at 9 pm. The episode is set to run longer than 60 minutes, followed by a 90-minute episode of Talking Dead, featuring creator Robert Kirkman, showrunner Scott Gimple, and Negan himself Jeffrey Dean Morgan.
