‘The Punisher’ Actor Jon Bernthal Took Inspiration From “Dirty Laundry”

John Bernthal, the amazing actor who is and will be portraying  the character known as The Punisher, has gotten a ton of attention as of late. This past weekend at New York Comic Con we saw him appear at the Iron Fist panel, and he also got his own panel on Sunday.

During his own panel where he was discussing The Punisher, he was asked if he had studied other actors who had played the character in the past.

“I watch everything. I read everything. Anything you can get your hands on. I love “Dirty Laundry.” You see that one? Once you devour and eat up and much as you can, my way is to make it as personal as possible. It was a great pleasure to watch all of those.”

Dirty Laundry? I’m sure you’re all asking yourself what in the world that is. Well, it is a fan film, directed by Adi Shankar, that includes the return of Thomas Jane, who was reprising his role of The Punisher. Take a look!

Marvel’s The Punisher, starring Jon Bernthal as Frank Castle, Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Micro, Amber Rose Revah as Dinah Madani, Ben Barnes as Billy Russo, with special appearances from Daredevil’s Deborah Ann Woll as Karen Page, will be released on Netflix sometime in 2017. Scott Lightfoot wrote the first two episodes and will be the show-runner and executive producer on the series.
