Adam Driver Corrects Himself About ‘Episode VIII’ Tone

Recently, Adam Driver had made a statement about the next installment of the current Star Wars trilogy and compared it to that of Empire Strikes Back, or so we thought. Now, he has released another statement clarifying what he meant:

“What I said was the tone of it was different, I didn’t say that it was gonna be in the vein of [it]—I was using it as an example, so poor example. Next time I should say—I’m trying to think of another sequel to a movie that’s good. When I read the script, it was not what I expected, in the best of ways.”

So this doesn’t necessarily mean we will or will not be getting the dark tone he seemed to have been hinting at the time. Nevertheless, we will be seeing a drastic change in tone from The Force Awakens to the next film.

What do you guys think? Do you want Episode VIII to have a darker tone? If not, then what kind of tone do you expect out of it? Let us know in the comments as well as on our Twitter and Instagram!
