Every time a new Marvel solo movie gets released, fans always ask where the other Marvel heroes are. In Captain America: The Winter Soldier, fans asked why Iron Man or Thor never showed up to help take down the helicarriers. Well this time around Kevin Feige has given us an answer to where exactly the sorcerers of Kamar-Taj, the compound where Stephen Strange ends up in when searching for answers, have been all this time…
There are people inhabiting the same world that are stopping buildings from falling down, robots from doing this, aliens from doing that – these people in this movie are stopping inter-dimensional forces from wiping out all of reality. So although it doesn’t necessarily come up, we’ve always assumed that the sorcerers have bigger fish to fry when they hear there’s something in a city or there’s a bank being robbed. They’re not thinking about it. They’re thinking if we don’t keep vigilant our sense of reality will disappear, and there won’t be a bank to rob and there won’t be a city to be conquered.
So there’s your answer, the sorcerers are busy stopping giant forces from destroying reality, just like the other Avengers are in the real world. Fans don’t have to wait long until they see what exactly the sorcerers of Kamar-Taj get up to on a daily basis as Doctor Strange hits theatres on October 25th (UK) and November 4th (US).
