‘Rogue One: A Star Wars Story’ Replaces Composer Due To Reshoots

As fans have been aware, Rogue One underwent reshoots over the summer. Due to the changes in the film’s schedule, its original composer Alexandre Desplat was no longer able to be on board. After his departure, the studio picked up Michael Giacchino.

Giacchino has worked on many Disney films already, with  the likes of Up and The Incredibles under his belt and his Marvel debut coming up with Doctor Strange. Lucasfilm clearly knows what he’s getting with Giacchino, so it seems to be a fair tradeoff.

What do you guys think? Did you really want to see Alexandre Desplat compose the original music for the film? Or are you happy that he fell through to make way for Giacchino? Let us know in the comments as well as on our Twitter and Instagram!
