Brasil Licensing Expo is the country’s largest brand licensing fair, and brings together companies like Disney, Warner Bros., Mattel, Nickelodeon and the Cartoon Network. Members of the team at Mega Power Brasil were at the expo, checking out upcoming projects and different brands of toys from a variety of popular franchises, including Power Rangers.
At the event, Mega Power Brasil had the opportunity to get a clear look at a new Power Rangers poster from the movie, exclusive to that event only and promoted by the Cartoon Network itself. A representative of the network told MPB that they had sealed the deal with Paris Films to promote the feature film, and that several products based on the films characters will be released very soon. The poster can be seen below:
There was also a pamphlet released at the CN booth displaying the new partners for the Power Rangers franchise: C&A, MaxToy, Sestini, Tilibra, Regina and Sunny Toys. The pamphlet can also be seen below:
The Cartoon Network also made it clear that the film will be the first of seven feature films, that will create a fully fledged franchise similar to a interconnected cinematic universe. Power Rangers has been awaiting its return to the big screen in the modern era for some time now. Saban and Lionsgate Entertainment are mainly focusing on targeting audiences between the ages of 18 and 34 years, as those are where the bulk of revenue will come from (ex. Marvel, DC, Transformers).
Power Rangers is morphing back into theatres on March 24, 2017.
