Oliver Queen is an experienced teacher now. We have seen him train the likes of Laurel Lance, also known as The Black Canary. We have seen him train his own sister Thea Queen, also known as speedy. Then we have seen him train Roy Harper, also known as Arsenal. Each of these people he had a prior relationship with, but in season 5 that might not be the case.
That might be more difficult, but according to executive producer Wendy Mericle, Oliver is “more experienced”. This means that he will be equally as hard, if not harder on these trainees, but his approach will be more thought out and he will know exactly what he is doing.
According to Mericle “he appreciates more the significance of being a teacher and what that means. In terms of this universe of martial arts and fighting and training people and what that means, he’s learning there’s value in being a mentor.”
We will see all of this and more when season 5 of Arrow hits our tv screens on October 5th.
