Grant Gustin Talks About Relationships Between Barry And Other Characters For ‘Flash’ Season 3

In an interview with Comicbook.com, Grant Gustin spoke about some of the changes in the coming Flashpoint universe for season 3 of Flash. Most of what was discussed had been talked about previously with the entire cast, however Gustin did reveal some interesting new information:

“There’s a Kid Flash running around as The Flash, so Barry doesn’t have to be The Flash and he’s okay with that. He still has his powers, but he’s starting to forget the other timeline.”

In the Flashpoint graphic novel, Barry does not have his powers in the alternate reality, but that doesn’t appear to be the case for the TV series. Perhaps it was to complicated to figure out a way for Barry to gets his powers back if he had lost them (as he does in the comics) that would fit in with the other changes that have been made for the television adaptation.

Another interesting bit of information is that Barry is already starting to forget his old memories and gain new ones that have occurred in his life in this new reality. So once again, it is safe to assume Barry will go back in time and stop himself from saving his mother and hopefully change things back to normal. Of course, as far as we know we have an entire season of this new Flashpoint universe and we’ll be seeing what challenges it brings Barry in his time there.

What do you guys think? If Barry still has his powers then do you think he’ll suit up alongside Kid Flash at all to help him? Are there any scenes from the comic that you hope they will adapt for next season? Let us know in the comments as well as on our Twitter and Instagram!
